Dagnabbit, I love Mark Simone (WABC Saturday mornings). He has broken into my top-3 list of favorite Talk Radio hosts. Not only does he have the best voice on Talk Radio, he's really smart, articulate and lately his sense of humor has had me rolling in laughter. As Mark was trying to get one babbler off the air towards the end of the call he says extremely politely, "Okay, thanks for the call we have to go back to Planet Earth now live!" I have to start writing down the funny things he says. No one commented on the last post. I thought it would have garnered a comment or two. If you've noticed, Curtis Sliwa of the Curtis and Kuby show on WABC has been using the term "Moola Scmoola" a lot less lately. We here at Talk Radio Fan had a nice prayer breakfeast with Mr. Sliwa and his management a week ago and and we came to an agreement: "Say 'Moola Schmoola' only once per program." The arguement got heated at first but we all prayed and walked out as friends.

Okay, so maybe I should not have mocked Hannity's "nasaly" voice in the last post. Talk Radio Fan is about superficiality. There is a certain "dorkiness" about Talk Radio fans and I add to that dorkiness and I am not ashamed of it. Truly cool people listen to rap and Top 40 and that sort of thing. Most criticisms of Talk Radio hosts on Talk Radio Fan are meant in a good-natured sort of way. Am I the only one who thinks that Mark Levin would be great in a punk rock band? I know it will never happen, but he reminds me a lot of Johnny Rotten of the Sex Pistols (a pioneering Brit punk rock band from the 70's). Both Johnny and Mark share the same ability to launch caustic tirades on those that they opposed/oppose. I really think Mark could be a great vocalist in a punk rock band. He could kind of half sing/yell his lyrics and...well, the results would be great.
I will give you some Sex Pistols lyrics ("Anarchy in the U.K.") and then adapt them for Mark Levin:
Sex Pistols:
I am an anti-Christ
I am an anarchist
Don't know what I want
but I know how to get it
I wanna destroy the passerby
Mark Levin:
I am a conservative
I am an anti-Lib
I know what I want
and I know how to get it
I wanna destroy all Liberals!

I am getting really tired of Sean Hannity's show. He has the same guests on all the time. It's not really a treat when I hear him say "Ollie's next!" or "John McCain coming up!" or "Newt's up next!" I would like to hear a variety in the guest section. His nasaly voice gets to me too. And seriously, can it just become The Ron Kuby Show? Really! Curtis should take a break from the show and try to set a world record for saying "Moola Schmoola" ten million times in one day.

"Sean Hannity is pretty boring now that the election's over." That's what my brother told me this morning and I guess I agree. There's nothing really more to get excited and bent out of shape over. I really don't want to hear talk radio host talking about Scott Peterson anymore either. Snore. "Glenn Beck and Rush Limbaugh are the people that are still intersting," my brother said... My brother said Beck will be dong some crazy stuff as Christmas as the holidays get nearer. "Just wait," he said. I was not listening to much talk radio last year. We'll see...

Fans of Mark Levin must visit the first ever website dedicated to The Great One!
www.marklevinfan.blogspot.com I so excited when I recieved an email from the person running this site. The person wrote to me and asked if they could include a link to the interview that I did with Mr. Levin. "Just copy and past the entire interview!" I told them. It really encouraged me that there are other Talk Radio fans doing their thing on the internet and taking a stand for Talk Radio. I've gotten discouraged with the lack of feedback to this site but now I feel all fired up again. I listened to Coast to Coast AM (see Art Bell link) this past Sunday night/morning. I would like to stay up more often to hear this program since the paranormal greatly interests me. I was at work though so it was a little easy to listen. Normally I go to bed kind of early. I should spend more time listening to talk online. There's little variety on the two stations that I listen to. It's pretty easy to get bored listening to the same hosts almost every day since I really only listen during the same hours all the time.
